Kay Swatkowski, M.A.

Kay Swatkowski has been involved in Christian ministry for over 35 years.  Kay and her husband Ray were church planters in St. Louis, Missouri and later in Menton, France.  Kay has taught first grade in a Christian School and was also Director of Women’s Ministry for Midwest Baptist Conference for eight years.  She has also served as a Children’s Ministry Director at Faith Church of Grayslake.

Kay earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Fort Wayne Bible College.  She received her M.A. in Pastoral Counseling from Cornerstone University in Louisiana.  Kay is a member of the National Christian Counselors Association and American Association of Christian Counselors.

In addition to counseling, Kay speaks frequently at churches in Lake County, Illinois.  She is a freelance writer and has published articles on a variety of family and spiritual issues.  Her book, One Endless Line of Faith: 30 Days of Prayer for Our Grandchildren, was released on Kindle in November of 2011. She is currently working on a book about family communication Don’t Blink to be available in 2012.  She enjoys leading guided spiritual retreats and facilitates a support group for women with chronic illness.

Ray and Kay have been married for 38  years and have four married children.  They have four grandchildren and are expecting their fifth grandchild in June of 2012.
